Can't get off the train... You can ride the first Whittaker train up and then hike down from Whittaker to get them meeting. Me I know a fellow at the Whittaker campground and just parked at his camper and hiked up to the lower switchback then the upper.

Ah. I'll have to ask Danny (engineer on Shay 6 now) to let me hop down once if he ever gets assigned to the helper shift.

Danny might if he is pushing. You kinda just got to get lucky there as Shay 6 would need to go down from some unknown reason on a weekend... Might be better to just talk to Brad on 5 or ride the first Whittaker up and hike down for the meet. then hike back up for the second train back down.
